I've decided to post about my confidence, today, as the title of this post suggests.
I've been told that I carry myself as though I a older than 20, but I fail to fully understand what that means and includes, so I asked. I was given the answer that it is hard to say, but four major factors are confidence, seriousness, intelligence, and sense of purpose. The one that struck me as a bit confusing, for myself, is the confidence bit.
I began thinking. I am a confident person, but have little self-confidence, so I wonder where and how these two types of confidence are different and apply in our lives. I also wonder which I truly have first. To explain, I was wondering if I have confidence, but when I begin to think about myself and others, physically, I lose my self-confidence, OR if I DON'T have any confidence, in any way, including self-confidence, but when I think about myself and others, I gain confidence in certain areas, but not others.
I, personally, think that it is the first of those two options. I think that I am a confident person, but when I begin to think about myself and other people, I lose my self-confidence, but keep other parts of my confidence.
I walk with a sense of purpose because, quite frankly, I don't like wasting my time on things that don't interest me. I am intelligent, even if I lack some education and knowledge in things. I appear serious, at times, too much so, because, often times, nothing around me is entertaining enough to raise an emotion from me. Sometimes, people think I am angry, or sad, or upset in some other way, when I am simply calm and emotionless in the moment and I don't quite understand why, but I believe it is simply due to how my face is built.
So, back to confidence. What is it about me that makes me able to be confident, even when I lack any self-confidence? I have a young-ish face, don't look OLD or anything, but I do look more mature than 20. I often receive guesses as old as 28, and as young as 21. People never expect to hear me say that I am under 21 (which is probably why I don't get carded, even when I'm barely wearing any makeup and just jeans and a t-shirt). What is it about me that makes them think this? Why am I able to have confidence in my state-of-mind, yet doubt an lack confidence in my physical being? Not only that, but how can I allow my state-of-mind confidence leak into my physical confidence?
This post seems to be questions without answers, but it's what is on my mind and I felt it was a wonderful topic worth sharking!

New War in Libya?

I understand why the UN is getting involved in the case of Libya for humanitarian purposes, don't get me wrong. However, the USA is not exactly in the best financial state to be getting involved, if you know what I mean. It's none of our business, Libya is nowhere near the USA and not a threat to it, we are already in a "war" (which, during his presidential campaign, Obama promised to be pulling the US troops out of, which he has failed to do), and we are in a RECESSION that is quite devastating, as it is, do we really need even more piled onto our plate?
I'm going to be honest, I think Obama is trying to play the hero, since he has utterly FAILED as a President already, and he knows that we know it, he is trying to play the hero and make us go all ga-ga over him right before the new presidential election so he has a hope of staying in office. He has already not followed through with 90% of his promises that he made back in 2008, why else would he do this?

Thumbs down for his progress." Obama knows that we know he has failed, and now he is going to desperate measures to try to hold on to his position as president. What the idiots that populate the USA today don't realize is that, regardless of persuasion, intimidation, and even coercion, PEOPLE DO NOT CHANGE! Obama WILL NOT CHANGE! If he gets elected for a second term he will NOT change the way he does things. People get re-elected when they've done something right, but idiotic Americans re-elect people who do super shitty things and juts hope they'll change without any kind of incentive to do so. No, he has blown his chance, people, and if you re-elect him, he won't change because he will have already won. Why should he change when he can just promise to do better, taking advantage of the good will of the Americans who will elect him if he makes it sound good and promising enough, and keep his office and wreak even more havoc among the USA and its citizens? He wants us to forget all the bad he is doing to our country, all the debt he has incurred! He wants us to continue to be his little flock of sheep believing him when he says, "the debt was necessary for us to go to war HURR DURRR!"
Please do NOT fall for his schemes! Don't play stupid! Don't be a sheep! Don't let him herd you into the comfort of the very minimal perspective on things he will allot you! Why don't you actually think about something for once in your pathetic little life and elect someone who will actually do some GOOD for this fucking country!?! This war is only going to drive our economy into the ground further, and if you disbelieve me, you just wait! If, in 19 months of doing absolutely NOTHING, Obama can incur a whopping $2.5 TRILLION in debt, inflicting more bad than good upon our country, what makes you think he is going to be at all capable of keeping the spending to a minimum when we go to war??? He has said, going to war is non-negotiable, in his own words coming from his own lying, cock-sucking mouth.

Around and around I go.
Well, I'm jobless. I know I'm not the only one. There are TONS of people who are jobless, especially the youth.
It's not easy being a citizen of the United States and trying to get a job straight out of high school anymore. 20 years ago it was far easier, and 40 years ago, even easier than that. Now-a-days, we're born to middle-to-low class parents (not saying that's a bad thing, but for most of us, this is true) who can barely afford to live comfortable themselves, and until we are 24 years old, the school system wants to take my parent's income into consideration. Well, this isn't as simple as it may seem. Yeah, my mom doesn't make much, which would make you think I could get financial aid to go to school, right? Not quite. She hasn't filed her taxes for several years now. I filed mine last year, and am paying for it, and will file again this year, hopefully to actually gain something from it, cause goodness knows I need it now, more than ever. So, if she hasn't filed, how can they even go into her true financial status? I can't even complete the forms necessary to APPLY for financial aid, much less apply and be CONSIDERED for it. It's not a matter of applying and hoping we're broke enough to get it, it's a matter of being 100% unable to complete the forms. I'm totally FUCKED out of even having a CHANCE to go to school until I turn 24. Luckily for me, my birthday is in the summer and not in the fall, or this would piss me off even more.
On to that circular thinking that the idiots of the USA seem to love oh-so much. I think it's fair to say, I need money to go to school, if I'm to go before I turn 24. Well, I need a job to get that money for school. But I also have to afford to support myself at the same time, so it could take several years to save that money up. Great. Well, better get on that. Oh, wait you want me to have gone to college to get that job? Fuck.
And this is my predicament. I can't even get into school to get some specific work-based experience that they require for me to get their jobs because I can't get a job that would pay for me to go to school!
It's so disheartening looking for work. They all want bilingual experienced and/or educated workers... McDonald's isn't even hiring, because all of the people that happen to be older than me and living here longer have already taken all of those jobs.
But I can't collect unemployment because I haven't been "let go" from a job. I never had a job here, quit my last one to come here, and the ONE job I've had here was temporary, so I can't collect unemployment because I knew it would eventually end.
So what do I do? I can go to the food bank for food, but that doesn't pay my mere $500 rent and $80 phone bill and $80 internet bill (so, you know, I can keep LOOKING for a job). Doesn't pay for my utilities so I can keep clean and tidy so I will look presentable if/when I get an interview.
I can't move in with anyone here. The one person I know and trust enough to move in with can't have me living with him, and vice versa.
So what happened to making more jobs, Obama? What happened to bringing the troops home, Obama? What happened to all of your empty promises that people expected to keep as they cast their vote? Boy, am I glad I didn't vote for you... If this is how you keep your promises, we'd be better off with someone who, even if they promise much less, at least follows through with what they say.
I hate people who say one thing and do another, and you, sir, are one of thousands of idiotic Americans (but I think you know this and were counting on it) who does this. I regret not petitioning against you during the presidential election. You have been the worst president in my time. Yes, I mean that. You're passing all of these pointless bills that only restrict us further and do nothing for our benefit, and sit there looking like a dumb elephant who's been rolling around in the mud (readers, don't take this personally, this is geared at one person specifically).
You're not making it any easier for me to go to school, to get an education, to get a job, to LIVE. You're killing us off, like branches on a tree, one at a time, you great bafoon.
Can we, as Americans, PLEASE actually vote for someone NOT spammed all over the media. You do realize they are paid more to feed you what sells, don't you? Oh, sorry you're Americans. I've expected too much of you haven't I?
Flat out, the candidates spewed all over the radio, TV, magazines, and newspapers, are often NOT the best candidates. I only say often because if I don't, I'm sure one of these days I'll be eating my words and I'd like to avoid that. I wrote in a vote for the last presidential election (2008). Know who it was? The, then, democratic, former senator of Alaska, old fart known as Mike Gravel. He's getting close to 90 years old. I was rather pleased to find out that, after he dropped out of the election race, he went to the Libertarian party. Old fart at least knows his shit. I may not agree with every little thing (who ever does?), but at least he had his head on straight and wasn't promising shit he couldn't possibly follow through with. Americans are annoying like this. They are lazy and careless with their futures and neglect to inform themselves enough to make a decent decision that could actually change things in a way they would favor, rather than something that sounds nice at the time, but could potentially be detrimental in the end. Americans don't like to think, don't like to move more than an inch, if they can help it. So I have to suffer for their ignorance, laziness, and stupidity. Go me?
Fuck all of you who are like that (there are more of you than you'd like to admit). What I want is a warm climate, like here in Texas, but with the vacancy equaling that of Alaska. Actually, Alaska looks pretty inviting. I think I'd like to go there some day. It's pretty and I don't mind the chill and cold. Don't know if I'd want to live there, but I'd sure like to visit.
Those of you who have made it this far, congrats. If you don't fit the personality traits specified in this blog, don't take offense. I still like you. Of course, some of my friends do this a bit, too. But I've forgiven them, obviously, since they're my friends. It's not an end-all condition. But if you're too stupid, I want nothing to do with you. I think I should define stupid for y'all some time so there's no confusion.

What the hell was THAT for?
This is just a rant about the government in general. You're warned.
Why does the government (the feds in particular) feel the need to pass unnecessary laws forcing people to live according to other people's morals and standards?
For example, in Washington, there are 28 casinos, Idaho has 6, but Texas has 2... All I can say is WOW. You do realize why this is? Too close to the bible belt without being Louisiana (LA has 3 times more casinos in it than the entire state of TX, lots of rednecks live there, which is cool) and all of the Christians and politicians feel like gambling is a sin so NO ONE should EVER be allowed to do it... Fuckers...
And since when are we becoming a socialist country!?! I THOUGHT we were a FREE (as in free market) COUNTRY??? Why does Congress feel it is within their power to FORCE banks to charge less for transaction fees? I'm going to lose all of my reward-point-earning abilities that I was supposed to have with my debit REWARDS card because they can't afford to keep everything. Granted I won't lose points I have already earned and will have $9 credited to my account, but COME ON!
And yeah, I'm gonna talk about gay marriage damnit! What crackpot reason is the government feeding to the idiots of the world (or vice versa) to make them think gay marriage should NOT be legalized and is so wrong? You know what? That's a bullshit Christian/religious view on the matter. The politicians are so afraid of losing their office to the idiots of the world (who just so happen to want to force their way of living onto everyone else in the fucking world), that they refuse to think about this in a logical, LEGAL sense! It's more unconstitutional to outright neglect to give homosexuals the same legal rights as heterosexuals, than to just let them fucking do it already! Do you all REALLY think that those of us with any actual understanding of the constitution and legal system will stand for you dumb-fucks not letting our homosexual friends and family marry and have the same legal rights? It's no different than what you ass holes did to African Americans back in the days of slavery (other than the whole cruel slavery bit [SIDE NOTE: if you misspell cruel as c-u-r-e-l, it spells out the name of a lotion I quite like]).
Religious people may protest that the bible defines marriage as being between a man and a woman... Ok, that's all fine and dandy, HOWEVER, we have had a separation of church and state for over 200 years. And for those fools out there who don't know what that means, because I am utterly convinced that 75% of the citizens of the USA are too thick to understand what the phrase means without an explanation, it means NO religion can have ANY effect on what the government does, PERIOD! Therefore, you cannot use the bible as a reason why gay marriage should be illegal. Sorry lazy asses, you're gonna have to use your brains for once... I know it hurts, but if you'd rather leave it for those of us with brains to take care of it, we understand...
If you're one of the people who thinks the government should be our big daddy and that there should be laws restricting things, such as gay marriage, drinking age, abortion, healthcare, polygamy, etc. By all means, speak now. I WANT you to, dare you, even. But if you're too afraid of a li'l 20-year old, who's never been to college, then you're even more pathetic than I thought.
I ask you now, how is it affecting you, at all, if I choose to marry another woman?
How does it affect you if I choose to marry 3 men?
Why do you feel you should tell me when I am allowed to drink, once I am an adult?
Why do you want the lazy people who don't really need welfare to get your hard-earned money?
Why do you feel the need to FORCE your ways upon me you FUCKING HYPOCRITICAL ASS HOLES?
I don't even understand WHY polygamy is illegal. I know many people, religious and non-religious alike, don't understand this and would like it to be legalized. I happen to be one of them.
I'm quite tired of the government taking thousands of dollars from me to pay for a lazy person who refuses to even TRY to get a job to eat, when it's a struggle for me to simply find a temporary job to get by on, much less a permanent, full-time position, and I can't get anything like that for help.
I don't want to pay for my cheap-ass neighbors to take their kids to the doctor to fake symptoms they don't actually have so they can get cough medicine when they don't even need it.
I'm tired of people telling me how to live and spend my money, hell, FORCEFULLY taking my money from me! How is it, that if taxes are too high, oh mighty democrats, we are trillions of dollars in debt? Aren't our taxes supposed to be going toward getting us OUT of debt? Where are we borrowing this money from (dare I ask)? When will this fruitless spending end?
I'm beyond tired of this country's government telling me how to live and how to spend my money. I vote Libertarian. I believe we have strayed so far from how this country was when it was formed, so far away from the American dream, in our own selfish goals of making everyone live as one (fucked up) government system wants us to live.
If a socialist country is what you want, then leave. If a communist, dictatorship is what you want, then leave.
But as far as today is concerned, the land of the free, is not so free anymore.
